  1. Ya know, a couple years back I did a drawing of the All-New X-Men in the original training uniforms just to see what it was like (I always found it odd that the original team and the New Mutants had to go through training, but the All-New team became X-Men with their own costumes right off the bat). Looks like Byrne beat me to it by 30 years.

  2. I used to try & buy every issue of the Comic Reader. Sometimes the teenager at the LCBS would let me speed read it. If I was short of $ that month. Which was rare I used to really hustle to make my $$. This was a great comic news mag. Published right here in WI too!

  3. even at postage stamp size, when all the other covers are a jumble of lines, the Golden Man-Thing on the Micronauts cover just KILLS it. Wow, what a lesson in strong imagery.

As for the rest of ya, the purpose of this blog is to (re)introduce you to the great comics of the 1970s. If you like what you see, do what I do--go to a comics shop, bookstore, e-Bay or whatever and BUY YOUR OWN!
